Information on the processing of personal data pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679

The communications of the PERMANENT SEGRETARIAT OF THE PELAGOS are distributed by e-mail to those who make an explicit request by filling in the form on this page and authorising PELAGOS to process their personal data.

The data provided (Name, Surname and email address) will be used with computer and telematic tools for the only purpose of providing the requested service and, for this reason, will only be kept for as long as the service is active.

Juridical basis

Consent is required in accordance with Article 4 of the GDPR. By proceeding with the subscription the user gives  consent to receive communications, and the refusal to provide the requested data will result in the impossibility of obtaining the newsletter service.

Purpose of data processing

The personal data provided by users are used for the sole purpose of sending communications and information regarding our activities and will not be disclosed to third parties.

Modalities for data processing

The data collected are processed using IT tools. In order to prevent loss of data, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorised access, appropriate security measures are observed.

The data controller

The data controller is the PERMANENT SECRETARIAT OF THE PELAGOS AGREEMENT with registered office at TOUR DELL’ ODÈON B1 36, AVENUE DE L’ANNONCIADE – MC – 98000 MONACO.

The processing of data related to the newsletter service takes place at the head office and is carried out by staff appointed by the Data Controller.

Users, in their capacity as data subjects, are granted the rights set out in Articles 15 et seq. of the Regulation and, among these, the right to request to the Data Controller access to, rectification or erasure of their personal data or restriction of their processing or to object to their processing, as well as the right to be informed of the source of the data of the purposes and methods of collection and to obtain the deletion or blocking of data processed in breach of the law, by addressing requests to the PERMANENT SECRETARIAT OF THE PELAGOS AGREEMENT as Data Controller, through the email address secretariat@pelagossanctuary.org or by sending a registered letter at the registered office located at TOUR DELL’ ODÈON B1 36, AVENUE DE L’ANNONCIADE – MC 98000 MONACO.

UNSUBSCRIBING FROM THE SERVICE

To stop receiving communications, the user may send an e-mail to: secretariat@pelagossanctuary.org with the text “UNSUBSCRIBE ME FROM THE NEWSLETTER” or click on the appropriate link within the newsletter. The Permanent Secretariat will immediately delete the user from the database.
